Why is the WeVoo app asking for my phone number?

WeVoo App asks for your phone number to verify that the phone number you type is valid for the device and is in-fact with you.

Why do I have to confirm my phone number?

WeVoo App asks you to confirm your phone number to give you the opportunity to fix any typos in the phone number you input.

Why did I get SMS verification code from WeVoo?

WeVoo sends verification code to your device via SMS message to verify that the phone number you type is valid for the device and is in-fact with you. This verification code is used to confirm authenticity.

Do I need to anything with the SMS verification code I received from WeVoo?

Yes, you need to type the verification code from the SMS message in the “Verify” screen to activate the WeVoo app.

I did not get a SMS message with verification code?

If you did not receive the verification code in 3 minutes then please re-try entering your phone number and confirming it and WeVoo will re-send the verification SMS to the phone number you entered.

Most common reported issue in this case is mis-typed phone number.

How can I start a live broadcast?

Launch the WeVoo app and tap on the broadcast icon at the bottom of the main nav bar on the WeVoo app home screen.

How to make a broadcast private?

In the broadcast screen tap on the Globe icon to toggle from public to private broadcast.

How to make a broadcast public?

All broadcasts are public by default.

How to view Public broadcasts?

WeVoo app Home screen has public broadcasts listed as default.

How to view Private broadcasts?

On WeVoo app Home screen swipe right or tap on private broadcast list on top of screen to view private broadcast streams.

Can I switch my broadcast to Public from Private broadcast in the middle of my broadcast?

No.

Yes, use the share link on the LIVE banner or use the invite icon on bottom of the broadcasting screen.

Who can see my broadcasts?

You control who sees your broadcasts. By default all broadcasts are public but you can change to private on broadcast start screen by tapping on the Globe icon. Tapping on Globe icon allows you to toggle between public and private broadcasts before you start the live broadcast stream.

Are all broadcasts public?

By default all broadcasts are public. Toggle between public and private broadcasts by tapping on the Globe icon in the broadcast start screen.

How do I share my broadcast location?

You can enable or disable location sharing by tapping on the location icon on Start Broadcast screen.

How long can I broadcast on the WeVoo app?

Its totally up to you and your mobile data plan on how long you can broadcast continuously. WeVoo does have data usage controls to help you. In the settings section you can enable broadcast quality settings to match yor internet data access or mobile data usage plan.

Can I replay a broadcast after it finishes?

Yes, at the end of every broadcast you have an option to save the stream to your moments collections on the cloud OR you can enable the auto-save option in WeVoo Settings to save your broadcasts on the cloud by default. Note: Charges apply for storage more than 5GB. Refer to pricing plans on www.WeVoo.com .

Social Basics

How do I share WeVoo with friends?

Share the app by tapping on Settings icon on main nav bar on the bottom of the WeVoo app screen and tapping on Tell A Friend.

You will be prompted to share or tell a friend via message/SMS, eMail, FaceBook Post or Twitter Tweet.
Message/SMS: If you choose message/SMS then your default/native Messaging/SMS app will be opened for you with your share message pre-populated (you can change it to whatever you want) and you can choose contacts from your address book to send the WeVoo app share invite.
E-mail: If you choose E-mail then your default/native e-mail app will be opened for you with your share message pre-populated (you can change it to whatever you want) and you can choose contacts from your address book to send the WeVoo App share invite.
FaceBook: If you choose FaceBook then your Facebook app post screen will be opened up for you to post the invite to FaceBook. If you have not logged in to FaceBook app before on your device then you shall be asked to login to FaceBook before you can post.
Twitter: If you choose Twitter then your Twitter app tweet screen will be opened up for you to tweet the invite to Twitter. If you have not logged in to Twitter app before on your device then you shall be asked to login to Twitter before you can tweet.

How do I invite people to view my live broadcasts?

On Start Broadcast screen you click on Globe icon and you will be prompted to select contacts or groups from your address book that you can select to invite to view your broadcast.

How do I invite people to view my saved broadcasts?

Goto WeVoo App Home screen (iPhone) or slider menu item (Android) and tap on My Collections to view the list of all your streams timeline and then tap on the share icon next to the saved streams you want to share and it will bring up stream detail screen where you can see contacts and groups that you have already invited or tap on share icon to select more contacts to invite to share your recorded moments. You can also revoke share invites by tapping on check mark icon next to each invited user.

What does Search in contact screen do?

Search in the contacts screen allows you to search for contacts that are in your address book that you want to share or invite to your broadcasts.

Can I add new contacts?

Yes, when you add contacts in WeVoo app you are actually using and adding contact to your device address book. You do not need to add contacts to your address book and then duplicate them in WeVoo App.

Can I group my contacts for easy sharing?

Yes, use the Groups in navigation menu to create new groups & add your contacts to the groups.

Can I add contacts and groups in invite screen on broadcast?

No, you can not. Use the Contact and Group navigation items to add contacts and groups to add, update or delete.

Can I invite people during my broadcast?

No , you can not invite people after starting the broadcast.

Can I invite people when viewing a broadcast?

Private broadcast – No, you can not invite or share.

Public broadcast – Yes, you can invite others to view.

Why can’t I invite people when I am viewing the broadcast?

For privacy and security measure you can only invite people to the moments broadcasted by you unless its a Public broadcast which is open to all for viewing.

How does anyone know I invited he/she/them to view my live broadcasts?

Invitee gets a Push Notification on their device on invite in realtime.

How does anyone know I invited he/she/them to view my saved broadcasts?

Invitee gets a Push Notification on their device on invite in realtime.

Can I block or remove people from previously shared saved broadcasts?

Yes, you can remove people from previously shared saved broadcast by accessing your saved collection on WeVoo App Home screen and tapping on the share icon next to the saved broadcast ; then deselect the users you want to block or remove.

How do I find and follow people on WeVoo?

You can find people on WeVoo by accessing your contacts list in WeVoo App.

If your contact is already a registered WeVoo App user then you will see “Follow” button next to the contact name. Tap “Follow” button to follow your contacts public broadcasts in realtime.

If your contact is NOT a registered WeVoo App user then you will see “Invite” button next to the contact name. Tap the “Invite” button to invite the contact to download and use WeVoo app so that you can share live moments with them.

What does it mean to follow someone on WeVoo?

Following your contact on WeVoo app means that you will get notified about your contact’s public broadcasts in realtime and you will see the broadcast stream in following (Android) or public broadcast listing (iPhone) app home screen for easy viewing.

How do I favorite a WeVoo broadcast?

You can favorite or give thumbs up to any WeVoo broadcast by taping on the thumbs up icon when viewing the broadcast.

How to I post my WeVoo broadcast to Twitter?

When broadcasting you can post info only about your live stream to Twitter using your Twitter credentials by tapping on share icon.

When broadcasting you can post info only about your live stream to FaceBook using your FaceBook credentials by tapping on share icon.

Yes, all your saved broadcasts are saved securely and only accessible by you.

Your saved broadcast is saved in an encrypted format and has access controls assigned to you and managed by you.

What is WeVoo chat?

You can chat live when you are broadcasting with all the people you invited to your broadcast; only the people who joined the broadcast to view it have the ability to chat live with you.

How do I chat?

In start broadcasting screen enable chat by tapping on the chat icon and when you are live all the people who joined your live broadcast will be able to chat live with you; chat appears on your broadcast screen.

How do I hide chat during a live broadcast?

In broadcasting screen you tap the chat icon on bottom left of your device screen to hide or show chat during live broadcast.

Why are my comments not being seen?

Scroll up or down the chat to see your chat comments on the broadcasting or broadcast view screens or sometimes helps to change the orientation of to see more comments.

Why is there no sound when I view live broadcast?

Check your device volume control or its possible that the broadcaster has turned the volume low or is on mute when broadcasting.

How do I sign up for a WeVoo Account?

You automatically get an WeVoo account when you download and register the WeVoo app on your device.

How do I upgrade my WeVoo broadcast storage plan?

Goto your WeVoo App settings by tapping on the Settings icon on the nav bar and then access the Account item and select a storage plan and enter a valid credit card for billing.

How do I cancel my WeVoo broadcast storage plan?

Goto your WeVoo App settings by tapping on the Settings icon on the nav bar and then access the Account item and tap on Delete Account. Deleting your account effects your cloud storage for saved broadcasts and does not stop you from using the WeVoo app by registering again. Depending upon your storage usage you maybe prompted to cleanup up your saved broadcasts or lose them on successful account deletion.

Privacy Basics

How do I block users?

Unsolicited or unwanted user invites can be blocked by tapping on the “Spam” icon your device contacts list.

How do I block chat?

You can block chat by disabling chat in start broadcast screen or you can tap on the chat icon in the broadcast screen during live streaming.

How do I turn off my broadcast location display?

You can location reporting by disabling it in start broadcast screen or you can tap on the location icon in the broadcast screen during live streaming or disable it in WeVoo App “Setting” screen.

How do I make public broadcast anonymous?

This feature is not available yet.
